Landscape format. Past a concrete slipway are two little rowing boats, one black with a blue rim, the other white. They are resting on ground surrounded by rocks and orange seaweed. Past them and a 5-bar metal gate is more water, a deep burnt orange reflecting the seaweed that rings the grassy rocky outcrop or islet. Across a pale teal bay is a strip of land with fields, and the suggestion of stone walls among the small number of houses that are dotted there. Beyond it is along low purlple hill and behind it further away is a long lilac ridge, the both ends of which taper down to reveal distant blue mountains. Sky is a watery cloudy kind of pale blue. Signed bottom left in yellow Liam Daly.

New Painting #19 “Connemara Boats (Galway)

“Connemara Boats”

Canvas  40.6 cm x 30.5 cm (16 in x 12 in)

Update: SOLD
Price €355 (+ €13 Registered post to Ireland; €26-€43 to rest of world)

Welcome to Night 4 of my 5-night sale of new paintings. 6 more new works are being rolled out to you tonight, one every 30 mins (but I can be a little late because I’m doing it all live off the cuff). . At the time of writing 15 of the 18 paintings I’ve posted over the first 3 nights are now sold, so go check out the 3 still available (numbers 13, 14 and 15) if you like. And now to start with tonight’s paintings.

Have been working on this one for a couple of years. It’s a south Connemara scene, and I just can’t get enough of its bays and inlets and lumps of rock surrounded by seaweed and water and then topped with cattle or sheep or donekys or just the right amount of grass. Sometimes there’s a boat, and sometimes there’s a gate. So there’d then be nets and ropes and a jetty or a slipway, and I’d be marveling at whoever it was who designed these landscapes. So I painted this one.

UPDATE: This painting is now SOLD.
If you’d like to buy this painting of Connemara message me privately by any method or publicly post a comment below the painting on my website or on Facebook saying so before anyone else does, and whoever shouts at me first I will then privately make arrangements for payment (probably bank transfer or cash if you’re known to me, and by another secure method if not) and delivery. Because I’m checking loads of methods of being messaged it can take me a little time to get back to you and let you know if you were first or not – if necessary I may even have to compare timestamps in different places to see who shouted first.

As ever you can always help me even if this painting isn’t for you – by spreading word of it.  This is what I do, for money like. I do other things too, but not for money.

All your art is fantastic, Liam, and we’d like to purchase this one for our home, if still unsold. Thanks!

Hi Walt, thank you very much for your kind comments. Unfortunately someone bought it by private message just 5 minutes before your comment. Really sorry about that, but thank you.

    Hi Liam
Just wondering if we were lucky enough to get the last painting you posted?
    Thanks

Hi Anne-Marie – I’ve now responded to you over on fb. You were very quick but someone was just over a minute quicker. Sorry about that (I really hate it when more than one person try to buy a painting at the same time.)
