Landscape format. Side profile of a little boat on wheels, blue on the underneath parts and red all over everywhere else including the little wheelhouse. There are ropes, there are rails, there is a lot of aged paint. There is some deliberate paint splatters underneath around the shadow. Boat is facing right. Signed bottom right: Liam Daly

I was obsessed with this boat when I first saw it. And then I saw it a lot because I kept going back to it. Hey, there are worse things you could be obsessed with. But like, peeling paint – think of what used to be there (Answer: paint that wasn’t peeling). Rust, brilliant blues, glorious reds. And it’s a boat. With wheels to save me the trouble of painting water. So I painted it in watercolour. And ink.

UPDATE: This painting is now SOLD.
