Landscape format. The bottom half of the painting is willowing long grasses of oranges and yellows and even some green, being blown slightly to the left. On the top in the centre is a small tree with an almost rectangular dense green foliage set against a dramatic sky of large white and cream billowing clouds against a grey-yellow darker cloud.

New Painting #2 Glenauline Tree

“Glenauline Tree”

This is a tree I’ve been trying to paint for 15 years. It was one I used to walk past every day with my dog – so while it may look exotic it’s only a couple of hundred metres from my door here in West Dublin. And it used to look like that all the time. As did the sky. Of course it took me so long to do it that now the actual tree is much, much bigger. And my dog is now with me in my head as I walk past – but this is how I remember that tree.

UPDATE: This painting is now SOLD
If you’d like to buy this painting message me or post a comment saying so before anyone else does, and whoever shouts at me first I will then privately make arrangements for payment with (Likely by bank transfer or cash if you’re known to me, and by another secure method if not). You probably have to like trees to like this, or orange grass – who knows, maybe you like scenes of Palmerstown but please feel free to let people know about it should you think they’d like to actually know about it. And thank you for your likes, they are appreciated.

And a reminder that if you don’t like scrolling through five million facebook posts to see what’s available, it’s easier on my website to see everything.
