North Mayo. A couple of days I’ve cycled along the shores of Carrowmore Lake. It’s north of Bangor Erris on your way up to Broadhaven Bay. And if the sun shines and you’re on the minorly trafficked west side, your life might be perfect.

The main featured image of this above doesn’t do the painting justice – because in reality the painting is very small – fits in the palm of your hand – whereas the website by default shows it to you very large. In reality those white dots are cottages and are no more than 1mm wide. If you’re not familiar with metric 1mm is a teeny weeny tiny little bit. So here is a smaller image of the painting, though still probably larger than reality – unless you’re on a mobile device.
