Newman House & University Church (Dublin)

New Painting no 25!
Update: SOLD

“Newman House and University Church”, (Dublin)

Mixed media

On paper, 29.7 cm x 21 cm (11.7″ x 8.25″).

Price €175 (+ €13 Registered post to Ireland; €18 P&P to rest of world)

It’s the first painting of Night 4 and we’re back in Dublin city centre for a few hours I spent one sunny day back in April when I got time off to go out and play. I stood the whole time on the southside of Stephen’s Green and loads of passers by stopped to talk to my little bicycle and sometimes to me. They were all very nice. The Museum of Literature Ireland, as it is now, has long been a place I’d wanted to paint – and of course the Newman University Church with its unusual belfry.

The bicycle disco rolled past at one stage and beckoned me to join in but I had a long way to go with this picture so I waved and carried on painting. I was tired when I finished, but happy.

If you’d like to buy this painting shout that you would before anyone else does. Once I see a comment or a message I’ll check there are no others sent earlier, and then I’ll contact whoever was first to make arrangements – payment by bank transfer or cash and delivery/collection. And this is where I ask you to help spread word of this work or the sale in general to people you think might be interested – even just to have a look. It’s all good.
