I reckon I could paint scenes of Chapelizod for years. Ah, Chapelizod. In this instance I jumped on my little bicycle and let gravity take me down to the Liffey. As I crossed the bridge it rained. Then it didn’t. It was lovely, so I stood in the village by the convenience shop and drew, and painted, and drew, and painted some more. Cars parked in my way. Then they moved. As you can see. It rained a fair bit so I kept running for cover into the doorway of an apartment. Then I painted some more. Eventually, after hours of non-stop visits from construction workers going for their breakfast roll, I finished painting and the rain finished raining.
