I used to go to Meath Street and Thomas Street for years. It was unthinkable to shop for Christmas presents without going there, and when I reached adulthood I was amazed to meet Dubliners who never went there. The people not from Dublin I forgave until the matter was redressed..
There is so much movement among Dublin's ordinary shoppers, that it's a distinctly different kind of movement than that of tourists.
